Two Irish test cases for the mis-selling of payment protection insurance (PPI) were settled in Dublin’s district court yesterday with the plaintiffs receiving compensation.

The Central Bank is looking at taking enforcement action against a number of banks for the mis-selling of payment protection insurance that could result in a payout of millions to duped consumers.
