THE grieving family of a 23-year-old Kerry woman who died earlier this month after a long battle with cystic fibrosis have vowed to continue her work to create greater awareness of the condition.

A 23-YEAR-OLD woman, for whom a life-saving lung transplant operation had to be called off twice recently, died yesterday at Cork University Hospital.

THE Kerry branch of the Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland is distributing organ donation awareness posters around the county.

MARY HAND is waiting for a call that will turn her life around. The 23-year-old from Dingle, Co Kerry, has cystic fibrosis and needs a double lung transplant as soon as possible.
