ACADEMICS have hailed the discovery of a remarkable collection of forgotten papers by the ‘father of modern computer science’.

KEVIN 0’BYRNE’S letter (Irish Examiner, August 10) on the lack of recognition in her birthplace of Cork-born Ethel Lilian Voynich, novelist and daughter of George Boole and Mary Everest, is to be welcomed.
