A settlement has been reached in the case of a young girl suing her parents after surviving a fatal car crash in Co Longford.

When the father of a 6-year-old girl killed in a crash by her drink-driving mother met the woman at a mortuary, she told him: “If I had a gun, I would shoot myself.”
