The design heads at Cork IT’s Architecture Factory can hardly contain their excitement — their converted factory, with studios fashioned from old shipping containers, has been short-listed for a world design award.

CORK Institute of Technology graduate, Sinead Crowley, has become became the first student from the college’s four-year honours Interior Architecture degree to win the National Interior Award.

A CORK-BASED architectural practice has scooped four accolades, including the top prize at the Institute of Designers in Ireland Awards.
