Ireland has denied the US an arrest warrant for whistleblower Edward Snowden in case he lands in the country, it has been revealed.

The High Court has today dismissed an appeal by the National Asset Management Agency (Nama) against a ruling by the Commissioner for Environmental Information that it is a public authority and therefore subject to information requests.

The Government has nominated barrister Colm MacEochaidh, a former Fine Gael election candidate, for appointment to the High Court.
