NEW Rose of Tralee Lisa Murtagh yesterday confessed she was hesitant about asking for time off work to attend the Rose of Tralee — for fear her bosses would think she was entering a beauty pageant.

THE contestants battling to be this year’s Rose of Tralee arrived to a heroine’s reception in the Kerry town yesterday, knowing the crown is all to play for.
