Ballycotton RNLI has rescued a man and his dog this afternoon.

A specialist search and rescue sniffer dog from the North has been brought in to help with the search for a missing man on Lough Ree.

Three people were rescued this evening after being swept out to sea off the coast of Donegal, Bundoran lifeboat officials said.
