Relatives of those killed in some of Northern Ireland’s most controversial murders have met the judge who will probe the cases, it emerged today.

Solicitor Pat Finucane would be alive today if members of the Royal Ulster Constabulary had not encouraged loyalists to shoot him, a top loyalist has claimed.
