The mother of a British backpacker who was killed 12 years ago in Thailand has made an appeal for fresh leads that could help capture her daughter’s killer.

The parents of a murdered British backpacker have spoken of their increasing frustration that their daughter's killer has not been brought to justice.

Thai police have reportedly arrested a man in connection with an alleged sex attack on two Irish tourists yesterday morning.

Nine British tourists have reported they have been raped in Thailand since the beginning of last year, the British Embassy in Bangkok said today.
