A private equity-backed management buyout of Carroll Cuisine believed to value the company in the region of €40m, has been completed.

Garry Walsh has been appointed as the new managing director of Green Isle Foods, it was announced today.

GREEN ISLE Foods is to close its fish breading facility in Boyle, Co Roscommon, resulting in the loss of up to 78 jobs.

MORE than 150 jobs are to be created in Dublin and Kildare, it was announced yesterday.
