THE Republic of Ireland U19 women’s side started their second round UEFA qualification campaign with a 2-2 draw with Spain in Lucena, Spain yesterday.

Twenty of Ireland’s leading young sporting talents were honoured today at the 20th annual Irish Examiner National Junior Sports Stars Awards, in association with TV3.

Dublin dispatched Robbie Griffin’s Kerry side to march into their county’s first ever All-Ireland final, thanks to a run of nine scores in the second half, and despite having half-back Orla Colreavy red-carded.
