A leading loyalist went on trial today charged with murdering a lieutenant of Johnny Adair during a bitter feud within the Ulster Defence Association.

Two men accused of placing a bomb beneath the car of a man with links to loyalist terrorists were remanded in custody today.

Police in Belfast tonight urged the loyalist community to “shop” those involved in the bitter internal paramilitary feud which has now claimed its second life.
