Irish Continental Group (ICG) has today announced that operating profit in 2011 down 8.3% to €28.9m compared to €31.5m in 2010.

CAR ferries operator, Irish Continental Group, reported a sharp rise in pre-tax profits last year, prompting a €1 final dividend to shareholders.

ULSTER TELEVISION’S (UTV) profits shot up by nearly 50% last year despite flat operating earnings from its radio stations.

ULSTER TELEVISION saw turnover increase by 14% to £54 million (€79 million) last year. However, profits fell by £0.3 million to £13.6 million as the Belfast-based broadcaster faced higher interest charges and programming costs.

UTV has released its interim results for the six months to June 30, 2003. It reports the group turnover is up 13.9% at £25.7m (€36.58m), and group operating profit is maintained at £7.0m (€9.96m), before goodwill amortisation.
