A Cork pub is to open on Christmas Day to serve 100 free dinners to elderly people and families in need.

A US sheriff’s spokesman says a bone fragment pulled from the backyard of a home where kidnapping suspect Phillip Garrido once stayed is probably human.

Police said today they had found a bone fragment on the property next door to the home of a man charged with kidnapping a little girl and hiding her in his back garden for 18 years.

A WOMAN believed to have been kidnapped as a child in 1991 is to be reunited with her family 18 years later.
