NEW Arts Council chairperson Olive Braiden said yesterday she hopes to see the arts made more accessible especially to children and local communities, despite the 20% budget cut imposed by the Government at the start of this year.

Olive Braiden has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the Arts Council under the first Arts Act in 30 years.

THE recent cut in Arts Council grant aid to arts organisations throughout the country is having a devastating effect on these organisations.
