THERE will be no greater inspiration for the United States Eagles against Ireland in New Plymouth tomorrow than a couple of fellow players who never made it home on September 11, 2001.

Families of passengers who rebelled against hijackers aboard United Airlines Flight 93 said today the FBI theory that the terrorists deliberately crashed the plane into a Pennsylvania field was based on ”limited and questionable interpretations” of the cockpit recording.

MANY of the September 11 victims made emotional telephone calls to loved ones in the final minutes before they died. Here are some of their last words:

Just before United Flight 93 crashed, some of the passengers learned of the attacks on the World Trade Centre and may have tried to overpower their hijackers to keep the jetliner from hitting another landmark.
