The young Laois hurler who collapsed after suffering a brain haemorrhage during a training session on Sunday has died in hospital.

The parents of a young hurler who suffered a brain haemorrhage while training agreed today to donate his organs, as they made the difficult decision to turn off his life-support machine.

A 20-year-old hurler is reportedly fighting for his life after he collapsed during a training session with his club at the weekend.
