Close to 24,000 Leaving Certificate students got to show off their French language skills yesterday morning.

The Junior Certificate French exam for higher-level students contained no surprises for those familiar with papers in previous years.

For Leaving Certificate French students, a morning exam featured questions in the listening test which were fairly typical and quite manageable for well-practised students.
