A woman jailed for stealing more than €270,000 from a firm of solicitors she worked for has lost an appeal against sentence, with the Court of Appeal viewing her 18-month jail term as “lenient”.

A former solicitor who stole €260,000 from her clients over a three-year period has been jailed for a year.
