US COMPUTER-RELATED stocks rose after Oracle Corp raised its offer for software maker PeopleSoft Inc and Lehman Brothers Inc boosted its rating on three semiconductor makers.

Oracle is due to file a formal $5.1bn (€4.3bn) offer for PeopleSoft today. However, it appears that the offer will be rejected.
