Scores of people have been shot and burned to death after Boko Haram Islamic extremists on the run from a three-nation offensive took revenge on civilians in neighbouring Cameroon, authorities said.

Search teams today found the wreckage of a small plane that disappeared over the weekend carrying 11 people including one Irish man, a spokesman for Cameroon’s government said.
