A former consultant who admitted allowing a patient into his private quarters in a hospital, and later kissing her, was yesterday found guilty of two charges of professional misconduct and two charges of poor professional performance.

It is entirely inappropriate for a doctor to kiss a patient following a consultation, a Medical Council fitness to practise inquiry has been told.
