TODAY we report on a sunshine holiday postcard that took 17 years to reach its destination. Imagine the joy and surprise of the recipient – Dinny O’Regan – when the card his then teenage daughters, Val and Helaine, sent to him while on holiday in Corfu, in 1992, arrived at his home in Cork city in recent days.

COMPLETING any educational programme is an achievement in itself, but to successfully finish an internationally-recognised computer course with a near-total visual impairment is another story.
