A DONEGAL garda claimed yesterday he was told to forget about the events surrounding the death of cattle dealer Ritchie Barron after making an explosives find.

A GARDA on duty on the night of a fatal hit-and-run in Donegal said yesterday he accepted responsibility for not taking steps to ensure a full and thorough investigation of the death.
