Clare County Board chairman Joe Cooney has rejected criticism of the revamped Southern Stand at Cusack Park in Ennis, which has been described as “a disgrace” and a “waste of money”.

Clare FM has taken top prize in the Agricultural Journalism Awards 2014 for the radio station’s coverage of the fodder crisis that seriously affected the livelihood of thousands of farmers last year.
