The low-profile former Mr Big of the McCarthy-Dundon gang, who was responsible for one of its most notorious murders, now runs a drugs operation in Limerick and Cork with a well-known former businessman, it has emerged.

The suspect, aged 34, is being held at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
