A manager of a State-owned training centre defrauded a woman in his care of €55,000 to pay off his own debts, Dublin Circuit Criminal Court has heard.

A 41-year-old man has been accused of conning a Dublin woman out of €55,000.

A 27-year-old drug addict who was “highly strung out” on a concoction of drugs is to be sentenced in July for assault on two gardai and theft of drugs from a pharmacy.
