A young woman was allegedly raped in a park in Cork by two men on June 28, 2013, and gardaí objected to bail being granted to one of the accused yesterday.

A raider waved a stick around aggressively in a betting office in Cork City before prodding the woman working in the premises and getting away with almost €1,000 in cash.

THREE children were abducted from their foster home and driven to Wales by their mother and by the time the authorities caught up with her eight months later the children were showing obvious signs of neglect.
