A young Cork man who is inclined to forget his own name was jailed for five months yesterday for threatening a member of An Garda Síochána.

A teenager who threatened to slit the throats of two gardaí outside a hotel shortly after getting a suspended sentence for a violent disorder was jailed yesterday as the judge said he had stretched the elastic too far.
