A 71-year-old bachelor farmer was “out cold” on Main St in Cahersiveen at 4pm on St Patrick’s Day because he had taken so much drink, the district court was told.

An aggressive man who taunted a guard to “go on and arrest me” and then took off on a lap around a block in Cork city centre got his wish when the guard knocked him to the ground and arrested him.
