A garda was yesterday cleared of stealing money in allowances from the Minister for Justice after a judge ruled that evidence regarding the accused’s pay- slips was inadmissible.

A Garda accused of theft of over €3,000 in overtime allowances, for duties it was claimed he did perform, has been found not guilty by direction of a Circuit Court judge.
