A PRISONER who claimed to have AIDS threw a cup of his own blood into a garda’s face and hoped he would contract the disease, a judge has heard.

THE man accused of laundering more then £3 million which was robbed from the Northern Bank in Belfast did not sleep in the Bridewell Garda Station, according to his lawyer, who claimed that the place was noisy with drunken prisoners and the bed was “not of a great calibre”.
