A woman who refused to give a breath sample to a garda on the side of the road jumped into the back of her van and began to eat cheese and homemade pesto.

Aidan O’Mahony, a garda and a footballer for Kerry, had to use quick reflexes yesterday to catch a chair hurled through the air at Cork District Court.
