It was at E3 2009 when we heard the first official word on The Last Guardian.

The Last Guardian was almost ready for release, until it retreated into yet another delay to December 2016.

Ok so The Last Guardian is actually coming out in October 2016, though we're going to have to wait to see if that really comes to pass.

The mind behind Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, Fumito Ueda, has confirmed that The Last Guardian will be released this year.
