PARENTS were last night warned against lending the family car to their teenage children as the most dangerous month on the roads gets into full swing.

As the weekend death toll on the roads reached nine, safety chiefs today reiterated warnings that July is the deadliest month for collisions.

Gardaí have named four of the people who lost their lives in road accidents at the weekend.
