Former Minister for Justice Alan Shatter was left in an “untenable” position after publication of a report concerning his handling of complaints made by Garda whistleblower Maurice McCabe, Mr Shatter’s lawyers have told the High Court.

A spokeswoman for Dunnes Stores said the company was not making any comment on the judgment that ruled the company had copied a design belonging to British fashion design label Karen Millen.
