MAINTENANCE funding for 3,300 primary schools will be delayed until the autumn.

PARENTS want the State spending watchdog to examine the annual €8.4m cost of renting school buildings which they believe would be better spent on new facilities.

PARENTS will target the Government parties in next year’s local elections if the next Budget does not dramatically improve funding for school buildings.
