Damien Rice took home the third annual Shortlist Music Prize for Artistic Achievement at a sold-out concert at the Wiltern last night in Los Angeles last night.

British rapper The Streets has joined Floetry, Cody Chestnutt and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs to vie for this year’s Shortlist Music Prize, which honours the best non-mainstream artists in the music world.

Radiohead, Coldplay and Floetry are flying the flag for the UK as the shortlist for the MTV Music Video Awards were announced today.
