Francois Blaquart has been suspended from his post as technical director with the French Football Federation following allegations the footballing body is seeking to introduce quotas limiting the presence of ethnic minority players in the national team.

Raymond Domenech’s lawyer has confirmed his client will seek a compensation payment of €2.9m from the French Football Federation after his exit as national team coach.

THE French Football Federation plan to elect a replacement on an interim basis for departing president Jean-Pierre Escalettes on July 23.
