A doctor who admitted the manslaughter of a teenage cancer sufferer by mistakenly ordering a junior colleague to administer a fatal injection into his spine was today sentenced to 18 months imprisonment.

A coroner today recorded a verdict of accidental death in the case of a teenager who died after a powerful cancer treatment drug was injected into his spine instead of a vein.
