AN Indian court yesterday convicted a Pakistani man of murder and waging war for his role in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks that left 166 people dead in the heart of India’s financial capital.

An Indian court is expected to give its verdict today in the trial of a Pakistani man accused of gunning down dozens of people during the November 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai.

The Mumbai terror trial will begin final arguments early next month, the special court hearing the case has said.

SOMETIMES breaking into laughter, the man accused of being the lone surviving gunman in last year’s Mumbai attacks told an Indian court yesterday that he was from Pakistan and wanted legal assistance, officials said.
