A coroner has issued a stark warning about the dangers of cooking after consuming alcohol following an inquest into the death of a teenager in a chip pan fire tragedy.

Investigations are continuing into a fatal fire at a house in Cork city yesterday afternoon in which a 17-year-old boy died.

A teenager has died as a result of suspected smoke inhalation caused by a chip pan.
