A mother and her daughter murdered in Kerry in 2013 were stabbed at least 72 times between them, an inquest into their deaths has heard.

The last recorded movements of the 27-year-old Lithuanian woman whose bloodied body was found on the kitchen floor of her home with her pet dog standing guard over her on June 16, 2013, were shown to a hushed courtroom yesterday.

A 27-year-old forestry worker accused of murdering a mother and her daughter visited her home twice in the days prior to the date of the alleged crime and had sexual contact with her, a court has heard.
