A man who took part in a violent attack on gardaí who were trying to arrest his cousin may be given community work in lieu of a prison sentence.

A mother of two has received an 18-month suspended sentence from Judge Katherine Delahunt for her role in a violent attack on a garda who was trying to arrest a drinking companion.
