THE Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers Association yesterday announced the unopposed election of two new vice presidents, Paddy Kent, New Ross, Co Wexford, and Edmund Phelan, Caher, Fenor, Co Waterford.

I WAS dismayed at the document recently released by the Irish Commission for Justice and Social Affairs calling for the abolition of all forms of subsidies to farmers.
