In a major boost to Cork’s reputation as home to industry, Santa Claus has relocated his workshop from the North Pole to the banks of the Lee for the month of December.

A Dublin man has received a nine-year sentence with two years suspended for possessing drugs totalling more than €250,000 in separate incidents.

Two boys aged 13 and 16 years have been charged in connection with an arson attack on a house where they allegedly caused €150,000 worth of damages.
