The Department of Health has denied allegations that it is involved in a vendetta against Dr Joan Power, the Cork regional director of the Irish Blood Transfusion Service.

The board of the Irish blood transfusion service is to meet this morning with it’s national medical director, to discuss a row in which two of its senior executives were suspended.
