Quick-build homes, better known as modular houses, could be used by Cork County Council to accommodate people who urgently need a roof over their heads.

Sinn Féin has suffered a third defection from its ranks on Cork County Council, which will result in a further boost for the ever-growing Independents who now firmly hold the balance of power on the local authority.
