A trial has heard today that an unmarked patrol car driven by a detective garda was well over the speed limit just before the vehicle and a 4x4 were in collision on the M50 in Dublin.

A top detective said “I'm f***ed, I'm f***ed” when an unmarked Garda car he was driving crashed on the M50 motorway after he had spent hours in a pub, a court has heard.
